This looks and feels like one of those generic low budget fantasy movies. Watching moraine throw around the power in the first ep was embarrassing. Sometimes the CGI is decent, but some times its is soooo bad and out of sync that is almost a parody of itself. THere is one particular scene with a forest chase where the CGI is so bad that i hope someone got fired over it. The changes they made from the books really make no sense. Why not take the time to really explore the amazing world Jordan created. The sad part is, this is going to be it for the wheel of time. I have been envisioning a live action version of this for 20 years and I have to say i was pretty disappointed. It feels like a major disrespect to the author, the fans, and the genre in general to have the plot changed so much. Can you imagine if Peter Jackson changed LOTR so that Frodo was haunted by killing his wife? or if Netflix changed the Witcher so Geralt was a gambling addict? If you want to tell a new story- call it something else. I understand liberties have to be taken to convert a book to a series but those efforts should be taken to condense the story that is already there- not add ambiguous plot points . T This series is a masterpiece and it has not been treated as such by Amazon. Robert Jordan is going to be haunting the shown runners for twisting his beloved tale into this garbage fire. What a total disregard for the fans, the story, and the author. Who is this written for? It’s too complicated for someone who doesn’t know the series and from all the nasty reviews - you clearly aren’t appealing to the fans of the book. I expect some major boos at Comic-Con. I’ll still hate watch it. 0 out of 5 herons.
