This is my second Bell + Howell 1176 Taclight. I use the flashlight 1-2 times at night to take my puppy out to go potty. It is on less than 10 minutes a night, which equates to minimal use. I purchased the first one July 29th, 2016 & returned it as the push button on & off switch fell apart. I ordered my replacement Taclight on Aug 24th. We are now 7 weeks later (too late to ask for a refund) and the same thing has happened to this one. There is this soft orange rubber piece that is the on/off button. It covers a metal type button on a spring. This rubber piece keeps coming out. It's a poor design. Additionally, when the orange button is getting stuck & coming out the taclight cycles through its bright to SOS code modes. The concept of this taclight is a good idea; however, it does not hold up under use. I recommend you buy a different product.
