This product was cheaply made. I used it to secure an equipment trailer that I owned and a thief easily defeated the lock by striking it with a blunt object. Furthermore, I notified TRIMAX of their products failure to protect my trailer and their response was unsatisfactory. In fact the way I read it they know their product is a hoax and are simply selling a placebo security device to trick users into a false since of protection. Please see the below response from TRIMAX: “Sorry to hear about the loss. The lock looks to have been hammered & broke the lock, the theft does not appear to be the result of a failed TRIMAX lock, but rather a result of a prepared and determined thief armed with a large hammer or blunt object. With the heavy hammers & blunt objects available today, determined thief’s with time to work can get through just about anything. “ Full disclosure: that was not TRIMAX’s entire response but it is unedited. And no they did not offer me a refund or even a replacement product.
