Let's start with I paid extra for this model with the cover and straps. One strap completely tore off on first use. Onto the foam itself.... It claims to be medium-firm, 3 inches thick and 3.5 pound density. It is so firm after only 3 hours both my gf and myself had such servere back pain we could not stay in the bed. We tried again a second night with the same results. As far as it being 3 inches... Is not... 2.5" maybe 2.75" if being extremely generous. I called the company asking specifically about the ILD value for this foam (ILD is a manufacturers rating for firmness levels of a topper or mattress) and also asked about the cerifications. They didn't know what ILD was, and really didn't give me an answer about why Amazon lists 2 certifications and yet the packaging lists nothing at all about either. Overall a truly terrible experience. A product I would never recommend under any circumstance.
