★☆☆☆☆
Painful to Read - Principle 17.4.67 Section C Point 3
I bought this book to learn more about Ray Dalio and his investment success. What I got was a tome that devotes over half the book to Dalio pontificating on subjects in which he is patently unqualified. Ray Dalio fancies himself a neurologist, psychologist, evolutionist, spiritual guru and all around master of everything...He doesn't see the irony in spending so much time at the beginning of his manifesto instructing us to stick with our strengths, then meanders off into subject matter that he doesn't understand. He repeatedly tells us this book is his gift to us. He should have heeded his own advice and focused his writing on what he knows. Excruciatingly long and formatted in an absurd outline/bullet point format that made it even more boring.
