It isn't that the product doesn't work, it's the fact that it's just regular splashless bleach packaged as "washing machine cleaner", and priced five times higher than the splashless bleach from Clorox. A visit to the company MSDS site reveals that the ingredient list is 95% identical with the addition of a corrosion inhibitor thrown in near the bottom of the ingredient list (next to last actually) meaning that there is just above 1% of that particular ingredient. I highly doubt having .3 ounces of corrosion inhibitor justifies a price of 5X. I also don't think that NOT running less than a tenth of an ounce of corrosion inhibitor in my machine on a monthly basis is going to cause it to rust away. Save yourself some money and don't be fooled - it's just bleach. Buy regular bleach, you probably already have some on your shelf, and run your machine through the cleaning cycle with that once a month instead. My grandma's washing machine from the 1960's hasn't rusted away to nothing without the magical corrosion inhibitor, I doubt you'll ever see the day when yours does.
