We have a Queen size 10" thick Zinus mattress in our guest room that worked well for us. When we wanted a king mattress for our bedroom, we were attracted to the price and our previous good experience. When this mattress arrived, we unpackaged it and observed that the vacuum bag was not tightly sealed everywhere. When we opened the mattress, it did not start expanding immediately. We waited 24 hours, hoping it would expand evenly. It did not, leaving a large divot on one side and a large bulge on the other side. This incomplete expansion is well-documented in other one star reviews, and we were just hoping it wouldn't happen to us! It appears that a small percentage of these mattresses are "duds" and simply do not expand fully. We were unlucky enough to get one of them. The return/refund process for these mattresses would be a ridiculous comedy if I weren't experiencing it. Amazon wants me to ship a *king size mattress* that has expanded much larger than its original size back to them. It will obviously not fit in the original packaging, and I do not have an industrial vacuum sealer to shrink it again. Amazon support can only walk me through the script for processing a normal return and do not appear to be aware of the unique size and packaging issues for a king mattress. I would be more understanding of the requirement to ship the mattress back if I simply didn't like it, but asking the customer to jump through all these hoops for a defective product is ridiculous. In summary: Price is great; the best you're going to find for a decent mattress. If the mattress has no problems, it's a fantastic deal. A small percentage of mattresses appear to come as "duds" and will not expand correctly once unpackaged If you get one of these, the return process is going to be a huge hassle. I purchased a Tuft & Needle Mattress, King Mattress with T&N Adaptive Foam, Sleeps Cooler & More Supportive Than Memory Foam Mattress, Certi-PUR & Oeko-Tex 100 Certified, 10-Year True Warranty, Made in USA, Rated CR's Best Buy Mattress from Amazon as a replacement. We have had a good experience with another Tuft & Needle mattress, and I am hoping that the higher price and Made-in-the-USA will protect me from another defective product.
