This vacuum cleaner works really good on hardwood floors and a laminated flooring and on carpets and on rugs too. This vacuum makes my house work so much easier with having kids and 3 pets and having my nephew that is 2 years old and likes making messes and having a really big house to clean. I'm so glad that I got this vacuum it's light wigth and it's really strong suction on it. With me having an upstairs I use to have to carry a big heavy vacuum up the stairs all the time. This vacuum is so much lighter to tack upstairs. I love it so much!!! Update on this vacuum after haveing it for only 4 days and only used it 3 times and it stoped working on me. So don't buy this vacuum at all it's a waste of money.
