I deliberately purchased this product at this price bracket because I thought that it would be reliable and not fall apart on me. To be fair, many of the needles correctly attach and stay attached to the cables. However this cannot be said of all of them. I have been avoiding certain sizes (thus defeating the point of ordering this kit) because the screwing mechanism in the needle does not function and will slip off the cable attachment with very little stimulus. Recently one of the size 8 needles started doing this mid-project which resulted in me having to carefully pick up a series of dropped stitches. I tried taping the cable and needle together but even this doesn't work and as I result I have come to dread knitting on this particular project (a gift for a dear friend). Other sizes actually won't screw onto the cable because the screw fitting was bored incorrectly on the needle tip. In essence, the needles and cables do interchange to a point. Expect about 60% of them to work and have back ups handy to transfer your knitting to when the connection stops holding. This kit may be a handy addition as long as you are not forced to rely on them however, I would recommend spending the money on a higher quality product that will not let you down and will actually work as advertised.
