This product works exactly as it says. Simple and easy to use. However, if you want it to taste like the bottled soda water you buy, you need to use the highest level of gas. I was in love with this product until I realized that approximately 1 bottle (2 average glasses) a day equals one 60L gas cartridge per month, and tried to order the replacement. After much research, no local store (I live in one of America's top 10 highest population cities) within reasonable distance 5 miles does the refills. I didn't bother to look beyond 5 miles. So, only option left is to user their refill program online. This costs you $14.99 per bottle. Not bad, right? Well, you have to return the empty bottle within 60 days of your order of them (not receipt of them). They recommend you mail back within 7 days of receipt of your order. By the way, there's mention of delays to delivery because of COVID19, but no mention of extending the deadline to return your empty bottle before being charged a fee of $14.99. Anyway, after doing the maths, I was left with the option to buy another bottle at $30 (their discount code for $10 upon registering the device is not applicable towards this purchase - another rip off) as a backup and order one refill. The option for two refills doesn't work if takes one month to use up a bottle as you won't get the second bottle back in time before being charged the fee! If you try to order only 1 bottle, your shipping costs goes up from $7.99 to $14.99, so either way, you pay for two bottles and get a fee of $14.99 or you pay for one bottle and pay the cost of a second bottle in shipping. TOTAL RIP OFF! But once you're in, you feel trapped because you spent all that money in the first place for the machine. Right, I'm all for reducing the production of plastic through what feels like an environmentally responsible choice like buying this versus buying a 24 pack at Costco (which is way cheaper too by the way) than 1 your one gas cartridge refill. It's a shame that a company like this charges so much extra for shipping 1 bottle versus 2 bottles. Think all the expense through before buying. DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY THIS AS A GIFT FOR ANYONE. They will be upset with you for the cost of refills, and not having committed to financial burden themselves....or it will sit there unused after one use, which is another waste of plastic consumption!
