I've had a lot of different kinds of prepared emergency meals and these are the worst. My wife and I tried 6 different types of their meals. I don't know which ingredient it is, but something (in every meal my wife and I tried) made our mouths feel like they were coated with a slimy muck. The price was better than others, but with the obvious quality difference, it had better be cheaper. Pictured is the (not so) "Savory Stroganoff"... ***Update 2-28-2019*** My wife and I were talking about our experience with these meals a few years ago. We had the thought that "they couldn't be as bad as we remember". So, we tried again. I'm happy to report that I have no memory issues. These meals were exactly as bad as we remembered. The slimy mouth coating, and all!
