I purchased this helmet as part of my son's big Christmas gift this past year, an electric dirt bike. It had great reviews and I trusted the brand. When it arrived, I was pleased with the look, the quality, and the fit. My son has worn it for months. A couple of days ago, he was riding in our neighborhood when he lost control of his bike and slammed into a brick mailbox. This helmet popped off his head and flew into the air upon impact. He suffered a concussion and has 13 stitches on his forehead. I never would have thought about this before his accident, but his head injuries caused me to inspect this helmet more closely. The clasp on the chin strap is made of flimsy plastic and pulls open with minimal pressure. This is what happened in the moment this otherwise well constructed helmet was supposed to be protecting his head... the clasp popped open and the helmet flew off his head. I plan to file a complaint with Razor... hopefully they will use a more durable clasp in the future.
