Perhaps I misunderstood what this splitter would do before I purchased it. However, you should know that it does NOT provide a 2-channel signal to BOTH/EACH connection. What this component does is splits the 2-channel stereo signal into ONE R and one L signal for a 2-speaker system. What I wanted it for was to provide EACH split with a 2-channel signal, so it could provide a separate 2-channel stereo connection to two computers' speaker jack independently, so I didn't need to disconnect one computer and plug it into the other computer's jack to provide stereo to whichever computer I happened to be using (my daughter's or mine). BIG difference. So now I'm back to looking for what I really needed.
