Worse than useless - it's dangerous.
Worse than useless - it's dangerous.
I read and followed the instructions carefully. I placed the unit and killed one rat with it. So far so good, but things went downhill from there.
I wiped it out with a damp washcloth and let it dry, stored it in the garage with batteries out. Later on, I placed it again in an area I knew to have rodents. When I checked it the next day, the red light was flashing as if to indicate a "kill" but the trap was empty. I shrugged, reset it, and tried again. Same result. Then I tried a third time, but this time I was working in the area for a while after setting the trap. A few minutes after setting it, I began to hear a buzzing, crackling electrical sound. I looked at the trap and saw the red light flashing. No rodents had entered the trap. It continued to buzz/crackle. When I touched the switch to turn it off, it shocked me.
The batteries came out and it went into the trash. I cannot trust it to kill rodents, or to NOT harm any other animals or burn the house down.
