A bunch of "Bologna"-Don't buy it.
I don't own this heater but do laugh when I see the commercials. I am a licensed electrician and worked (installed) with heaters (baseboard, fan forced etc). When I saw this on TV and how they claim it heats a room size of 250 sfeet I looked it up online to see the rating; 350 watts; really? With my experience and normal physics there is no way this heater can heat a room of that size in the comfort fashion they show in the commercial. But if you do plug it in and sit right in front of it this may put off enough heat to warm you slightly while it blows heat on you. Maybe in a very small bathroom it may warm a bit. I have installed 1,500 and 2,000 watt fan forced heaters (direct wire from the breaker panel) in rooms smaller and at these rating it just about warms the room. I guess the company that makes this dropped it down to 350 watts realizing that if they made it closer to 1500 most if not all the time it would trip the standard 15amp or 20amp breaker in the home and people would complain and want to return it not realizing it worked fine however just drawing too much power and overloading the circuit. Any space heater like this and even the larger ones you can buy at Home Depot, Lowe's etc are very dangerous. They pull a lot of watts. If the receptacle is not new and the prongs of the plug of the heater are not held very tightly by the receptacle over heating of the receptacle leading to melting or fire at the receptacle can take place and I have seen it happen. I have replaced many receptacles when people plug these heaters in and the connection is not very tight and the receptacle heats up. If you do use a space heater never leave it plugged in while you are not in the room for any extended period of time. Every 20 to 30 minutes touch the plug with you fingers to check the heat. If the plug is very warm turn the heater off and then remove the plug and let it cool down. My personal opinion is if you will be buying a space heater that you buy one that has more heat output and spend your money on that instead. Keep in mind that because this heater is only 350 watts it will take longer to attempt to warm a space thus run longer and use more electricity overall. So the so-called claim that you save on your heating cost because you can turn the thermostat down on your main heating system is a bunch of "bologna". You more than likely will use far more energy using this device over time.
