Based off of the two previous weeks of use, I would have given this product 3 or 4 stars. My cats loved it and it was long enough that they both could play with it. Even then, I knew it was a cheap felt strip so it probably wouldn’t last long. I was careful not to pull too much since I knew that would stretch it out. What I did not expect, however, was for my cat to completely chew off a piece and attempt to swallow it. Normally, they chew on the fabric a bit then I gently pull the toy back so they can continue playing. Today, one of my cats was holding on a bit too tight and chewing for a little longer than normal. When I finally got the toy back, my cat was still chewing and started gagging a bit. I pulled about 6 inches of the fabric out of his throat. My advice to people that bought this for a pet or still plan on buying it, is to not pull on the string too hard, keep the toy out of reach when not in use, and supervise carefully when using. This product is not “safe” as it claims to.
