This is one of the most disappointing products I've ever purchased. I love my Trekz Air and was excited to upgrade to the Aeropex at a 33% higher price point to see how great the technology can be. What I received was far inferior: 1. The packaging attempts to put the iPhone to shame, making me wonder how much of the purchase price they wasted. I'm hoping the pretty girl on the tri-fold cardboard fold out ate a cheeseburger before she begins her run because she can't weigh more than 105 lbs with all her makeup and might pass out within 200 feet. 2. Then, I found the free plastic stretchy fanny pack to be a waste, making me wonder how much more money they wasted. If I want to buy a stretchy plastic fanny pack, I can buy my own. 3. Next, I noticed that the free case replaced the zipper on my Trekz Air model for a magnet and an open flap, which is definitely a downgrade in functionality. 4. Not to be outdone, I noticed they included an extra PROPRIETARY charging cord, as if the standardized USB connectors aren't good enough. My Trekz Air has been using a USB 2.0 standard cord with no problems and I tend to be hard on my electronics. 5. Finally, I compared the Trekz Air against the Aeropex, side-by-side, and found that the sound quality on the cheaper Trekz Air was far superior. Buy the Trekz Air; do not buy the Aeropex! The Aeropex is 33% more expensive so the company can pay more for expensive packaging you're going to throw away before listening to poorer quality sound. Then, you'll be forced to buy their proprietary charging cord if it breaks or falls out of your unsecured case. This makes me wonder if the lighter weight isn't a feature and actually a result of shaving materials out of the product to save money. The product manager needs to be fired and the engineering team probably phoned this one in, not wanting to make waves and enjoy a stable job a little bit longer than the shorter product life cycles we're seeing lately. The best part of this product is the return policy.
