I am actually late in doing this review. I ditched this pot a few years ago. I just forgot to do a review, probably because I wanted to erase the memory of paying for one of these. I bought this to replace one I had for about 3 DECADES. It made great coffee so I actually had the audacity to think a new one would be just as good. I was wrong. I am finally totally convinced that if you want to see a product ruined, wait till Black and Decker buys the rights and start producing it. The new pot was absolute crap. The stainless was like tin compared to the old one. The lid was so tight I had to fight to get it off. Worst of all.......the percolator boiled the bejesus out of the coffee.....without stopping. Yes, friends, that is right. It wouldn't stop percolating. Ever. I had to unplug it. To add insult to injury, the plug was hot. Since I was late in using the thing, I could not return it. My only recourse was to place that perolator where it belonged. In the garbage. Well, actually some recycle guy picked it up from the street. Thank goodness I kept the old Faberware 2-4 Cup Percolator. You know, the one MADE IN AMERICA by the Real Faberware Company? I'm still using it. Gee, I wonder where they are making these percolators. I'll take a shot in the dark: China.
