This was supposed to be a gift for my mom to replace her old yoga mat that I took with me when I moved to college. The first thing I noticed was that the company sent me the wrong color. I ordered the green, which in the pictures provided by the company as well as in pictures provided by other reviewers is a bright light green. The one that I received was closer to a dark green, which I am assuming was probably supposed to be the teal one. Not a great first impression. The second thing that I noticed was that the mat is definitely not 1/2-inch thick. I measured it and it is a little more than a 1/4-inch thick. It is still thicker than most traditional yoga mats but definitely not what I was expecting and definitely not worth the $17 that I paid for it. I saw these same cheap mats at TJ Maxx and Ross for under $10 yesterday. I will most likely be returning the product.
