Weight - Let's face it, when you go the beach you often find yourself hauling a lot of things and you don't need a beach bag that weighs a ton on top of everything else. Space - it can only fit four towels packed neatly. I am not sure of the longevity of this product since the bag shows wrinkles by the handles already and the handles are fixed on with plastic "tabs" of some sort. Too late to return...
