Defining "New-Commercial-Grade".
Finally, I found this "New-Commercial-Grade" stainless steel cup that would accept my handheld blender head. I meanwhile used this cup no more then 5 times for that purpose, with great satisfaction. However, "Update International" (what's in a name?) does not warn against temperature differences for its stainless-steel "New-Commercial-Grade" cup. I kept in it a liquid for a day in the refrigerator, took it out to pour, and immediately rinse the cup under warm water for cleaning. - PANG! - The top rim cracked in two places (see pictures). What an unbelievable big disappointment for this "New-Commercial-Grade" stainless steel cup. If it had cracked at the bottom, I would have been forewarned as another reviewer wrote about that, but cracking in two places at the top? Lastly, the product is advertised as originating from the US. So, is this really where our product quality standards are headed with product descriptions like "New-Commercial-Grade"? Maybe someone can point me to a "Former-Household-Grade"?
