This product is deceptively advertised (without using the exact words) as made in the USA and therefore it is expected that more will be paid for higher quality. This is a product from China; it is made with inferior materials including plastic parts. The sliding plastic key cover is especially insulting. It will not keep dirt and road debris out of the locking mechanism because it opens at the slightest bump and is not waterproof to begin with. They do their very best to cover up the “Made In China” text that appears on the box but keen eyes will find it.
