Got my new tablet yesterday and spent most of today on the phone with tech support. My tablet thinks it is in another state so the maps and weather are both wrong. To make sure it isn't my wifi, I also did troubleshooting with my provider and went to a friend's house. I either get no location or the wrong one. The screen clarity and brightness also leave something to be desired as well. I am also disappointed with the selection of apps. Update: spent another 30 minutes on the phone with tech support today to find out that they did not put a GPS in this model. There is also a known issue with the device getting a location from WiFi, Bluetooth, and whatever other methods it uses instead of a GPS. So, if you want to have accurate weather for your location, use the maps to actually navigate, or use apps from outside of Amazon, look for a different tablet. I am sending mine back for a refund today. I also have to mention the lack of brightness of the screen and poor WiFi reception. Putting the tablet on full bright is about right for indoor use. You will struggle to use it outside. Speaking of using it outside, the WiFi barely picks up a signal on the porch where my iPhone has full strength reception. Even on one end of the house the reception gets spotty. Lastly, if I haven’t dissuaded you from purchasing this. Spend the extra $20 to remove the ads, which get extremely annoying. I’m sure Amazon is making way more selling ads than the $20 you can pay to stop them. The good: price
