DON'T Do It!! No seriously, don't...
I read the reviews before I bought this joke. But I'm the MASTER of ignoring one star reviews and chalking it up to someone not knowing how to use their newly purchased item. I focused only on the 5 star reviews, thinking, "that'll be me, I'll love this system"! Well, after spending hours wiring up my newly purchased surround system (including this set to send sound to my rear speakers), I quickly found out how terrible this unit is. I first listened to music in Multi-Stereo to test everything out and the rears immediately started interferring, dropping out, and occasionally making a sound like a dying refrigerator (and by " occasionally", I mean every 15 seconds). I troubleshooted... Moved the transmitter. Moved the receiver. Turned off all my Bluetooth devices. Even faced the transmitter and receiver directly facing each other, about 12 feet away. The maddening thing is you'll stop having problems for about 20 minutes and think it's OK. And just as you've calmed down, stopped swearing and wishing a swift and devastating crash to Amazon's stcok price for selling this piece of garbage... It happens again!! I know other reviewers have speculated that your wireless signal (which likely runs on the same freqyency) could be causing interference, or vice versa. As I am beaming wireless music to Chromecast audios throughout my downstairs, this should have been explained PRIOR TO PURCHASING if this is in fact the case.
Bottom line - there's a reason RocketFish has such an awful reputation. I gave it a shot and I hereby apologize to the other reviewers - you were right, this thing is awful. I'll be returning this lemon of a sound carrier as soon as I have time to unwire it and box it back up. I'm not writing this review for my health, hopefully it helps you not make the same mistake I did!
