I'll be reviewing this in two pieces... the design and the quality of the paint. The design: It looks beautiful and nicely cut. There's no hard edges or tool marks which is a plus. Although a few chips in the wood... almost all were on the backside. We knew going into this purchase that they would not have any hooks to hang the item on our wall. No big deal. We screwed some beehive hangers and that took out all the guess work of measuring and leveling. The paint: So this is where things took a turn. When it arrived, I noticed the bubble wrap was stuck on pretty good to the painted face of the name. I had a bad feeling when I began to unwrap it and sure enough... the paint wasn't allowed enough time to dry before it was packaged. The surface was still tacky at a slight touch and i asked myself who would package a painted product when it hasn't fully cured. Needless to say, it looks horrible. There's shiny spots, dull spots, and rough spots. You can tell it wasn't even sanded and just painted over. The amount I paid (which is their most expensive option and largest size) is a freaking joke. My advice, save urself some money and skip the painting option. It's not worth it at all. I would just have them cut the name and prep and paint urself. I wish I would have done that myself.
