I had a really bad experience with this Kuvings juicer. I noticed all of the splendid reviews regarding the Kuvings and decided to splurge and purchase it. I previously had a Champion masticating juicer for over 20 years and wanted something that would be easier to clean. The first day of juicing with the Kuvings, I was impressed with it's productivity and quietness, compared with the Champion. However, the Kuvings juice stopper just fell off the juice spout in the middle of juicing and I was not able to reattach it properly. I was concerned when I first saw that stopper. I was also concerned about the smaller plastic pieces attached within the juicing basin. These design elements seemed poorly made. However, the missing stopper didn't prevent me from using the juicer, so I continued to use it for the next 5 days. I juiced everyday as I was on a 30 day juice-fast. Even after the stopper fell off, I was falling in love with the Kuvings. It was so much easier to use and clean than the Champion. However, on day 5, while juicing carrots and ginger - yes, I followed Kuvings instructions and yes, I cut things into small pieces - there were suddenly several loud popping noises and the lid jumped off the juicing bowl. The plastic rim of the bowl snapped off in two places! It was totally unusable. I literally cried! I couldn't believe this happened. When I called Kuvings customer service, my questions were not answered. The employee was repeating scripted statements and seemed irritated with my questions. It was almost surreal. I did not bother to get replacement parts from Kuvings. I returned it and got my money back, thanks to Amazon! One should not have this sort of experience given the cost of this juicer. Also, using the term "whole juicer" is misleading. You must cut fruit and veggies into smaller pieces. I'm returning to use a Champion or an Omega.
