I don't usually write harsh reviews without at least a little praise or constructive suggestions but there is no alternative here. This redesign is a sad, garbled, useless mess (as of July 9, 2013, Ver. 4.1.2x adad45d). We've used the Weather Channel app (Android version for the Kindle Fire HD) since late 2012 and found the earlier version immediately intuitive and sensible, especially the at-a-glance multi-day view. But this pointless update drove a 5 star to a 1 star literally overnight. The new interface is a non-intuitive mess that looks like something a first time app designer slapped together. We've switched to Weather Bug for now. If the Weather Channel doesn't switch back to a more intuitive, sensible app design we'll be deleting this permanently. We don't object to the ads or the points - we understand the realities of monetization for free apps. But this incredibly poor design will simply drive away your potential traffic. And I'm not talking about tweaking it to make it better. I can't think of a single constructive suggestion to merely tweak the redesign and make it better. At the very least you might consider making the old version optional for tablet users, if the goal was to redesign the app primarily for smaller mobile devices. Update 7/17/13: I tried the new Weather Channel app for a week alongside the Weather Bug app. The Weather Channel app is crap. I deleted it. I'm reasonably satisfied with Weather Bug, although I'd like to see the old familiar and immediately intuitive Weather Channel app return.
