What this is advertising and what it actually does are two totally different things. This is a food "dehydrator" not to be confused with a food composter! What happens after three hours is the moisture is removed from the food, which means your using energy to dehydrate not compost. Their claims are inaccurate. Yes the output will take less space in a landfill but the food will become moist again and eventually bulk back up. When I threw the "dehydrated" food into my garden it started to grow mold and attracted animals. I am disappointed that a company can make such false claims and that I feel for it. Had they be honest on what it actually did then yes it it's a great product nice sleek design and I would have loved it. If you are looking for compost don't buy this product.
