This was a really great heater until we noticed just how hot the cable gets. It seems pretty ripe for a fire. They advise you to plug directly into the wall and not into a power strip. We learned that lesson early on when it singed our surge protector outlet (see picture). DEFINITELY DO NOT USE IN A POWER STRIP. Even still, the heater's cord itself was getting really hot when plugged straight into the wall. I am unsure this is safe. We've stopped using ours.
