This book is not what you think...
Read it. Well, honestly, I read the first 50-60 pages and 'skimmed' through the remaining 300 pages.
NO real insight into Melania, at all. She's just what she appears to be; cold, emotionless, detached, aloof.
Winston tries to spin this into being "strong", "resolute" even admirable considering all the media bashing Melania took/takes. Melania makes it very clear, herself, in her own words, that she doesn't care what anyone thinks, about anything, at any time.
This is not necessarily an admirable trait in a FIRST LADY OF THE UNITED STATES.
The first 200 pages is an intricate, *excruciatingly* detailed accounting of how Winston became an Inauguration co-ordinator with an unending list of famous and not-even-close-to famous names involved and almost involved. This book is definitely about Winston, her lineage, and her resume, not Melania.
It seems to be an "official public explanation" of how SHE's an innocent scapegoat & was treated somewhat coldly by Melania... And while that may very well be true- they still remain friends (??) She even dedicated the book "To Melania". Weird, right from the start, no? A solid D- Not worth the Kindle $.
