This air conditioner produced more heat than cool, and actually warmed up the area it was in. This purchase has been my absolute worst experience ever in purchasing from Amazon. I did not have hot enough weather to run this unit until after the 30 day Amazon return period. When I did run it, I discovered that it was worse than useless; it actually made the room it was in hotter. Either it was producing too much heat, or not enough cool. It was obviously defective. I contacted Amazon, and because it was after the 30 day return period they referred me to the manufacturer. After multiple calls and emails from me, and multiple call and email promises from them that they would get back to me with a solution, they simply blew me off. Based on my experience, I would say that if you have a problem with your unit you can forget about the warranty. You will be ignored by the manufacturer. I am extremely unhappy with this purchase, and will certainly never again buy a Shinco product.
