Jumped a motorcycle 3 times. First two times worked like a charm. Third time, about a month later, whatever protective circuits it is supposed to have failed. Immediately heated so badly I saw a glow through the plastic body. Before I could disconnect it the solder in the jumper cable connections melted and the cables fell out of the plug. I still have the unit but not sure how to dispose of it due to the damage it has sustained. Would not trust it. I opened the box where I had assumed a protective fuse was located. No fuse, just some circuitry. Buy it if you need it, but don't trust it.
