No charging base = dealbreaker for me!
There seem to be a lot of positive reviews from people who received the product for free for evaluation and to write a review. I actually purchased this product. I am an owner of a prior generation Ergorapido. After several years of good service, I have been looking to purchase a new one, as the battery has worn down to the point of low power and battery life. I have loved the convenience, light weight and manueverability of my prior model, and this is no different. However, I have to forewarn others that this model does not come with a charging base. I hadn't even bothered to check for this, as I assumed that all of these models would have this. For this lithium ion model, a small plug needs to be inserted into the back of the vacuum each time it needs to be charged. I had trouble figuring this out, as even the manual does not show where this charging port is! In any case, this was a dealbreaker for me, as this reduced significantly the grab and go convenience that the prior model had with the charging base. As such, I immediately returned this. I wanted to write this review to inform others of the fact that this new model has no charging base as I didn't even think about this before purchasing it. I was certainly drawn to the fact this had a lithium ion battery but have no clue as to why Electrolux took away the charging base.
