I am not impressed. I am writing a review after 6 months of using this travel mug. And my husband has 3 of these mugs, in different models and sizes. I am thinking all those great reviews are probably from those who used this product for a week. Yes, I was really, really amazed with this product AT FIRST. I purchased it late winter, and it kept my coffee warm from 8am - 12pm. I would say hot for the first 1.5 hours and nicely warm for the rest of the day. I work Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm. So, I pretty much use it every day when I work. Once I am done with my coffee, usually by noon, I rinse it off right away and let it dry at my desk. And when I come home, I wash the mug and its lid thoroughly. I do not use dishwasher. I use handheld and soft sponges and try to get every nook and crook. My husband is a clean freak, he clean his mugs thoroughly too. And then, slowly the duration that the liquid is kept warm, reduced. After 2 months, it barely kept the coffee warm for 2 hours. And, this was Spring. Plus, the travel mugs started smelling funky. It was not the lid, surprisingly, because if there is any accumulation, I expected it to be on the lid. The mug itself smelled like old coffee and sour milk. The color at the bottom of the travel mug peeled away as well. And to make things worse, the coffee tastes funky as well, whenever we use the travel mugs. Trust me, we cleaned and cleaned. My husband threw away his. I am still holding on to mine, hoping there will be a remedy. I mean, for a travel mug that costs almost $20, it was NOT worth it. And, I would NOT purchase again. The only reason I am giving it an additional star, was because, it was totally spill-proof. And I loved that.
