I bought these after my favorite Oster clippers finally broke. Previously, no one could believe I did my boys' hair myself, and I'm certainly no professional, but it always turned out even. Although the colored attachments seemed like a great idea, and are indeed prettier than black, they don't seem to be as straight as my previous ones were. Perhaps that kind of plastic warps more easily? After switching to these Wahl clippers, people would ask if I cut my boys' hair myself, which was not exactly a compliment. I noticed that it was no longer even, and I'd find long hairs leftover even though I'd go over the same sections repeatedly in effort to eliminate that problem. Again, I'm not a professional, but one would think I'd be getting better with years of practice, not worse. I chalk it up to the poor performance of these Wahl clippers. I give them two stars only because they do have a nice set of scissors, carry bag, clips, comb, and some "extras" included.
