This product is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever bought, because I had such high hopes. It's Bob, and one of his paintings on the side of a coffee cup that activates when you pour coffee in it. Sounds awesome, right? When you pour coffee, it looks really great, when it's cold, it's just a black background, but it still has Bob's smiling face on it. Here's the problem: this is the most fragile coffee cup artistry I've ever seen. It takes virtually nothing to scratch the picture on the front of this cup. And it doesn't have to be the transitional picture that scratches; Bob's face gets scratched extremely easily. I did not wash it in the dishwasher. Always by hand. At first, I washed it like I wash other specialty coffee cups, and put it in the dryer rack. I guess it touched something else in the rack, and got a scratch. Alright, a little ridiculous, but I'll be more careful. Other cups don't have that problem, but whatever, I can deal, because it's a cool cup. Then I started to wash it, dry it right away, then put it away. I'm still finding it with more scratches while it's been seemingly sitting alone in a cupboard. Aside from inventing an anti-gravity chamber and keeping it suspended in the air where it will touch no other solid material, there's no way to save this cup. Now I have a decision to make; do I keep the cup and watch it slowly deteriorate and hurt me every time I look at it, or throw it away? Ultimately, I think I may just throw it away. If you're used to being hurt by the people you love, then this cup is perfect.
