Woke it this morning to the buzzin sound of the power strip failing. I initially suspected something wrong with the fan until my wife realized the power strip was actually arcing behind the dresser. We immediately turned the breaker off and realized that if we hadn’t been home a fire could have started and caused significant damage to the house/burnt the house down. I will look into having the power strip inspected and consider legal options at this point. Extremely disappointed in Amazon and I am still shocked thinkin about what could have happened if this happened a few hours later in the day, when no one is home...It seems that this device will NOT fail safely - this is absolutely unacceptable
