Not As Free as It Seems
I love the Sims games, so when I saw this on my Kindle Fire, I "bought" it. I figured, Hey, it's free. It's Sims. Why not? Even looking at the reviews that said it wasn't worth it didn't turn me off.
When I first opened the app, it said that it needed "additional content" that would take up a great deal of space on my Kindle. I had the space, so I let it get its content. I finally got the app to open and I admit the graphics were nice. It wasn't really easy to play, but I managed. Until I ran out of money for the two sims I'd created. Then the game offered to let me buy more Simoleons at the store. I bought 5000 for $4.99 and suddenly I've paid for this game. Even worse, the money didn't last that long. There doesn't seem to be any other way to get money in the game. Sims can't--as far as I could tell--get jobs. Also, the game used "The Party Boat" to connect itself to Facebook. I set it to private, but if you're not careful, it will post everything you do on the game to your wall.
If you're a really dedicated Sims fan and you just have to have all the different versions, then maybe this is for you. Just be aware that it's not as free as it seems. You will end up paying for it at some point, and all your Facebook friends will see that. (I've removed the app from my Kindle and will not be playing again.)
