Gimmick. These don’t block blue light.
These are a gimmick. I was worried when I bought them because if they really did block blue light, they’d have to be tinted, not clear. The laser and card that they supply to “test” that the glasses block blue light is actually testing the wavelength of 405nm... which is actually violet. (You can check the wavelength on the side of the laser in tiny print) So these glasses block light at 405nm... basically a tiny area of the violet spectrum. Blue light for reference is 450-490nm. Wearing these and looking at blue LEDs, monitors... anything... blue is just as bright as normal. Wearing my Uvex Skypers, blues on monitors look green... and blue LEDs become nearly invisible. Avoid these... they’re certainly a rip off and won’t help blocking any actual blue wavelengths, nor effect sleep or eye health on any way.
