This bed could have killed one of my children. Within days of putting it together we saw that little things were breaking, like latches on the stair cabinets. We weren't happy but we figured it would be a hassle to return so we just overlooked it. We told the girls to just be very careful with the beds as they weren't high quality. Last night one of my girls was laying in bed reading when THE ENTIRE LOFT CAME CRASHING DOWN. Luckily the child who normally sleeps on the bottom mattress wasn't there or she would have been crushed. The child who fell was hurt and her new iPod was shattered in the fall, but we felt lucky that nothing more serious happened. Truly terrifying experience. Update: I contacted this seller, OJ Commerce, to let them know that we'd had a dangerous failure with this product. Their response was a canned you-are-past-our-30-day-warranty-so-it-is-not-our-problem cut and paste. I have very serious reservations about this company based on their response, or lack there of. I have contacted South Shore who are being very helpful, I also plan to let Amazon know, as well as the BBB. Don't buy from OJ Commerce is my advice.
