If you take Hibiscus for High BP READ THIS!
I've now purchased a few pounds of these flowers. At first I was a major fan of how finely they are chopped as they're easier to use with various infusers than long cut dry rigid leaves. Then i started noticing things- 1. There are a lot of efforts by this company to bolster the review score by pumping free leaves into review channels. At first i was not suspect of this but now after purchasing more than 3lbs of the product I feel like the accusations are warranted as the product just isn't in line with other loose leaves. It doesn't matter who, just anybody but this product. 2. There were some claims that there was 'bird poop' in others bags (i was almost accepting of this, it's a natural product and droppings would be small so it could pass QA) -- this lead me to inspect small particulate in the bag, i found kernels and sticks a plenty which probably if i separated them out would be 20% of the total volume. These leaves are finely chopped and i have done no lab analysis but there are definitely granules present that are not leaves. At the very least they're letting a lot of non-leave matter to compose the weight of a bag versus only leaves by higher quality providers (this can of course be accomplished by finely cutting, something i once loved but now am not a fan of) 3. Amazon finally pulled the 1lb bags based upon customer complaints (and has now since re-instated them) so there is something going on with the review process in regards to this tea and quality is not in line with the score as per my experience and other customers complaining to the point that it was recalled at a point. Buyer beware, go with any other brand.
