Captain Marvel is easily the worst Marvel movie. It's plot is full of holes, it changes so many characters and aspects of the comics it's almost unrecognizable as an adaptation, the action scenes are limp and have no energy with the big climax being a CGI mess on par with some mockbusters, and there is almost no form of character development for Carol Danvers throughout the movie. What little character developement they tried to have was lost due to Brie Larson's acting skill, which ranges from abysmal to nonexistant. Brie Larson is unable to fake an emotion, and you can very easily tell what she thinks of every scene she is in. If she is in a scene where she isn't the focus, she has a scowl, if she is the focus, she has a smirk. The only positive thing I can say about the movie was thar Brie Larson and Samual L. Jackson made a good, buddy cop duo, and played off each other very well. However, I feel it was mostly Samual L. Jackson's acting skills that made those scenes enjoyable. Look at content beyond the movie, it has no relavency to Endgame, dispite being placed right before it, and much of its marketing saying you had to watch Captain Marvel before you saw endgame. Overall if this is the route Marvel will be taking with future movies, then I fully expect a rise in the popularity of the DCEU.
