This appeared with a date that would lead you to believe it is a new book when it is in fact a rerelease of an old book. Appears to be set in present day but people are lugging around typewriters instead of laptops or tablets and smoking wherever they please. Anachronisms are distracting and a constant reminder this is a retread. I probably bought and read it in the 80s and don't remember so I have likely paid for it twice.
