Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I am a dental student, and even though I don't scale and root plane on patients all the time, I like to keep an instrument at home to get calculus off my teeth between hygiene visits. I previously had another scaler from Amazon that worked alright, but the tip was getting dull and I wanted to try a different one to see if it was any better. To start off, the tips on this one are a little too wide to really get a good access between or around teeth. Also, something about the scraping sound and feel tells me it may not be the best quality (not very uniformly sharp, hence may be rough microscopically and cause damage). Well, what do you expect for this price, right? But I still feel like it could've been better since you can get scalers that dental hygienists use for only 3-4 times the price.
