Sadly, I am returning this cane. Husband asked why doesn't it stand up? I got curious and tried the steps to cure the problem. So, I ordered one from the manufacturer and lo and behold it stood and is still standing. The other thing is it wasn't as stable. I tightened it as instructed but it always felt like it was too loose. I noticed the barcode has a black sharpie drawn through the serial number (like you see at outlets). I opted for the special from the manufacturer, a Freedom, Go and the freebies. Perhaps, these are returns or imperfect. I don't know but I am glad I listened to my husband. Almost forgot! My 'real' HurryCane came with a Certificate of Authenticity. Did yours?
