Have had this chair for 7 months. About 2 months ago it started squeaking quietly when in use. Then it gradually got louder and louder. We tried oiling everything—no dice. The squeaking just grew louder, except now there was an additional BOOM when you sat in it. (To clarify—this chair was used daily by myself and my husband, both of normal weights and sizes. It was used to rock a wee baby to sleep, not in cage fighting.) So this booming went on for a few weeks. The squeaking continued. Two days ago the boom finally graduated to a snapping and the chair broke while my husband was sitting in it. I don’t know much about rocking chair assembly, but apparently a bearing broke? After 7 months of light use. I also agree with another reviewer about its potential to tip over. My 3 year old sat in it (again, no WWF chair throwing) and it tipped backwards. Another day, it tipped forward. Just not very impressed. I would advise to just pay a little more and get a better chair.
