Backfeeds voltage to input; causes boot failures
I am not impressed by this hub. It's fairly ugly, has inconvenient cable connections (power connects to one side, and the host to the other side), and feels very cheaply made. More importantly, the hub fails at its basic requirements, being a powered hub: 1) it apparently does not supply enough power to run external SSD enclosures requiring 1.5A. It won't even allow a powered spinning drive to spin up. 2) It backfeeds voltage into the input (back to the host) - this is a hallmark of extremely cheaply designed hubs, and can cause boot failures or even damage to embedded host devices. I would completely avoid this USB hub. Another hub (that's around the same price) that is properly designed is ASIN B07BBLL3MJ.
