We've had two of these now. The first burnt out on a trip (possibly tied to outlet issues) in a way that could have caused a fire. Thankfully the manufacturer was kind enough to send us a replacement free of charge when they heard what had happened (in their favor). Unfortunately, the second one wanders wildly in temperature, sometimes getting suddenly cold and sometimes burning hot. One night it became so hot that it burnt my girlfriend in the night. As nice as the customer service was, we will NOT be buying more because they are dangerous -- thank goodness it wasn't under an elderly or bedridden family member! Finally, the replacement *also* failed after a little over a year. I think the manufacturers need to take this model back to the drawing board and figure out how to make it reliable and durable.
