After using this product my three year old daughter started developing painful mouth sores. I started researching online and learned about SLS and its connection to canker sores. Her pediatrician confirmed that the toothpaste was likely the culprit and told us to find an SLS-free toothpaste for her. I had assumed as a Tom's product this toothpaste wouldn't have any ingredients known to cause sores in the mouth! I know some people are more sensitive to SLS than others, but it's nasty, caustic stuff and I wouldn't want it in my kid's mouth whether or not she reacted to it. I am no longer a Tom's fan. Use at your own risk.
