READ BEFORE BUYING!!
I’m gonna give everyone else considering these skates the benefit of my several hours of research after unfortunately buying these on an impulse one night. TL;DR Pros: Inexpensive Good for indoor skating on smooth floors Sizing seems consistent if you use the sizing chart Good for a beginner or a child Cons: Wheels are too hard and small in diameter for outdoor use Bearings are cheap and will wear quickly Have somewhat cheap finishing that won’t last long through learning to skate Basically, if you’re looking for a cute, inexpensive pair of skates for a child or for indoor skating on a regular basis, these would be a decent purchase as they’re relatively sturdy and functional for their price point. The wheels are relatively hard at a rating of 95A (higher the number, the harder the plastic of the wheel) and therefore best suited to indoor skating on an even, smooth surface like a rink. Not to mention the cheaper plastic parts and pleather boots that aren’t going to last long through consistent wear/falling/toe clips that will inevitably happen. If you’re considering outdoor skating of pretty much any kind, I’d shell out another $20-40 for a pair of Candi Grl or Impala skates. They come equipped with decent bearings and much softer, larger diameter wheels closer to 78-82A hardness and sturdy metal trucks/plates. I didn’t know pretty much any of this about 6 hours ago but now that I do I’m very much irritated with the advertising of these skates as being indoor/outdoor use. Makes the seller seem like they didn’t do any research themselves or that they’re trying to take advantage of the fact that a lot of other people won’t have either. I really only gave any stars because they seem decent for indoor use. Look up Indy Jamma Jones on YouTube and she’ll tell you pretty much the same thing which is to invest a bit more in a good pair of starter skates that’ll keep you safe and comfortable while you learn. I started the return process before I’d even gotten these and ordered a replacement pair of Reewind Black Candi Grl skates instead so I don’t have the added expense of swapping the wheels and bearings which is essentially the difference between $80 for complete skates ready for outdoor use and $127 for parts you’d have to receive and assemble yourself over a week to be ready to comfortably skate. Just an FYI to all other potential purchasers.
